MHS is seeking a fulltime CDL Driver/Utility Worker to support the Transportation team. This role is responsible for safely transporting students and staff to schoolrelated activities and performing general utility and delivery functions across campus.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport students and staff to on and offcampus activities and appointments, including airports and transit stations
Deliver food, supplies, and freight to student homes, campus facilities, and offcampus locations
Perform vehicle safety inspections, basic maintenance checks, and maintain cleanliness standards
Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation
Complete general utility tasks, including organizing and cleaning equipment and supplies
Maintain availability for a flexible work schedule based on operational needs
Schedule, Pay, and Benefits:
This position follows a flexible *10month schedule, typically 40 hours per week (up to 46 weeks per year), with a minimum of two days off. *Summers and school breaks are off. The role is part of the Local OPS 464 bargaining unit. Starting pay is $30.77 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of school bus driving experience
Valid Pennsylvania Class B CDL with P&S and air brake endorsements, or ability to obtain S endorsement within three months of hire
Excellent driving record
Ability to frequently lift and carry 50+ pounds
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment
Flexibility to meet changing schedule requirements
Strong organizational, time management, and recordkeeping skills
High level of integrity and willingness to actively engage with students beyond core job duties.
