Shelby American Banjo Wood Steering Wheel. Located in OK. This is an original wheel that was only manufactured for Shelby. It was sold through the Shelby Catalog and over the counter in the Late 60's and early 70’s. These are very scarce in ANY condition. Try to find another one for sale anywhere in the world today. These were made specifically for Shelby only. I found only ONE doing a Google search. Ad online showing this exact model wheel. It stated this will fit ’70-’73 Shelby Mustang Steering Column, ’69 -’70 GT 350 & 500. Mach 1 and ’71 - ’72 Europa. Diameter is 15” and the depth in the center is about 4”. The wood is in very nice condition showing very light wear and NO cracks. Very light flawing. The grain overall is beautiful. Needs a good cleaning and polish. This wheel has been on a car that has been sitting since the early 70’s. The chrome spokes have light pitting. Maybe it could be polished out. The rivets need to be cleaned. I didn’t want to take a chance of damaging the wood. I took pictures with and without flash trying to show wood well. I have other pics but only can show 10 here. The one that sold in 2015 for $2,000 dollars was in great condition with the horn cap. But that was TEN years ago. And prices have increased substantially on these rare items. I don’t have a horn cap or any other parts, just the wheel. The picture of the wheel in the ad is from a Shelby Parts Catalog from the 70’s.
Make sure to do your own research for your application. No returns, sold as-is
Let me know if you need me to measure anything or take other pictures. $950 + S/I
