Born April 8, 2020, this gelding is 6 years old. DNA testing shows he is a cross between Clydesdale, Percheron, Quarter horse, and Thoroughbred. A beautiful pedigree producing a large, solid horse. Measures approximately 16.2 hh, around 1400 lbs., with a nice wide girth!
I have owned him since he was a weanling.
As of April 2026, up to date on all vaccines, annual exams, coggins, dental, farrier, deworming. Records can be transferred to new owner. Goes barefoot with no issues. Has big solid feet!
He was lightly started at 3 years old, then allowed to sit and fully grow for long term health development as a draft x, as recommended by the vet. He is ready to be started now! He is a beautiful mover, and very responsive to training. Lunges, round pens, knows “pick me up” at the mounting block, lightly started with liberty training last summer and did wonderful! Once he bonds with you, he just wants to make you happy! Pastures well with geldings, mares, and currently is best friends with a donkey. Kind to all animals…goats, chickens, dogs, cats. He can free range our farm when we are outside and will come in when called. First to greet you at the gate, puppy dog type. Extremely food motivated. Stands for vet and farrier, cross ties, trailers well (we hauled him everywhere with us when he was little to get him exposure…he even regularly went to the ice cream shop!), takes a blanket, saddle, bridle. Currently lives outside 24/7, but stalls well, and keeps his area clean! He’s had a great foundation, and is ready to move on to training for his future career. I can see him excelling in numerous disciplines.
Has been fed Triple Crown Balancer Gold to maintain nutrition since he turned 2, but gets fat off air and does not require any grain to maintain weight. Very inexpensive, easy keep!
Negatives: He can be pushy at first, but will respect a dominant owner. I personally have zero issues with him whatsoever, but he will test you at first. Training with treats is not recommended, as he becomes obsessed. He is sensitive to bugs during the summer, so he gets an OTC allergy med from May-September, which costs about $30/month.
Only selling due to personal reasons, no fault of his own.
Contact me if you have serious interest only. I do not have time for tire kickers! NO, you cannot test ride him, as stated, he needs restarted…I’m not putting him or you in an unprepared situation! No exceptions. You may ground work him in my round pen or arena to get a feel of his capabilities. No trials. Good home only. Vet references will be required before sale.
