2001 Ford Focus up for sale. I've had more than my fair share of problems with this car, but it runs, drives, and is currently inspected. It eats through timing belts, and the newest issue is something in the front end that makes it jump around while making left turns over 35-40 mph. I've replaced both steering knuckles, (because the bearing holes were egged out 30,000 of an inch and it kept blowing wheel bearings), shock/strut combos, ball joints, a-arms, anything that has to do with suspension in the front end, other than the stabilizer bar, but it aint broke, and there's really nothing else to go wrong with those...I don't think...anyway, I've tried to figure it out and I can't find a reason to sink more money into it blindly while trying to find a hidden issue.
Also, I've replaced the ignition coil, wires, plugs, spare timing belt in the back for when it chews the old one down far enough, too many new parts for me to remember that I've gone through since I had it. It had 155K on it when I bought it, and its now just over 200K. 203K I think...
I'm selling it because it nickeled and dimed me enough, and I cant figure out why it jumps and bucks while making left turns...or it would have nickeled me a little bit more lol I just have well over $2,000 in new parts on it, and cant see bringing it to the scrap yard with all those on it yet. So unless you know more about that suspension stuff than me, or you know a trick that I don't know-maybe you.ve ran into this before- I'm recommending it for parts only if you have a Focus around those years. I don't feel like its safe to drive like it is, and I've driven some real junk in my day...Pictures will be coming soon, I'm at work, and don't have any taken so far. Fair offers only please, or I'll scrap it instead. I'm ready to anyway. My phone number is seven-one-7-67nine-six5four9. Call or txt with any questions. Thanks, Brian
