PLEASE READ: Yes, this is an old car. It is not a beater and has been respected and garage kept. I am an adult and I have done most of the work myself. It has been a very fun, ongoing project. The car runs exceptionally well and is very fun to drive. It’s reliable. I drove it to Detroit recently. It is not fast. You aren’t going to win any drag races but once you get it moving, spirited driving comes easily. It is not quiet when you get in the throttle, due to aftermarket exhaust and intake, but is tame during regular cruising. I’ve had it registered as an antique since I purchased it in 2021 and therefore have never had to have it inspected. I have the timing adjusted ahead for a bit more power which requires it to use 93 octane. If returned to factory specs, it will run 87. I drive it often and am currently refinishing the front fenders (I’ve been driving without them for over a year). It has been insured with collector car insurance and valued at $10k for less than $200 for an entire year. I won’t consider offers unless you see it in person.
It has a Miata Specific, Three-inch Paco Motorsports Suspension Lift with Adjustable Sway Bar End Links and Extended Lower Ball Joints. This kit is completely reversible in a few hours. I’ve had it on and off multiple times. It currently has Eibach lowering springs installed so total lift is about two inches. Factory springs are included so, in reality you can set it up four different ways: lowered one inch, factory height, two-inch lift or three-inch lift. All fenders and wheel arches and both bumpers have been modified in some way. An additional fuse block has been installed under the hood for ease of installing accessories since the battery is in the trunk. Five 27” all-terrain tires mounted on BMW Bottlecap aluminum wheels. Daisy wheels with tires in new condition are included as is the OEM spare wheel and tire.
Installed or replaced in the last 10k miles: New soft top and rain rail, Bluetooth Radio, New door speakers, Randall Cowl Intake, full performance exhaust (header, high flow cat, resonator, muffler), New Radiator, Hard Dog Rollbar, New Clutch, Master Cylinder, Battery, KYB Rear Adjustable Shocks, New Racing Beat Tubular Front Sway Bar, New NGK Plugs and Wires, New Cam Cover Gasket, New Timing Belt, New Pulley and Harmonic Balancer, New Water Pump, Thermostat, Cam Seals, Crank Oil Seal, Timing Cover Seals, Alternator Belt. New upper and lower front control arms, adjustable upper control arms in the rear, rear frame brace. All the lights work and have been upgraded to LED. The three center offroad lights come on with the high beams. Outer two clear are on a switch and the yellow lights are on a switch. I converted the reverse lights to red brake lights and the reverse light is in the rear bumper.
