Its works and was in use by a elderly woman before i bought it. I use it for storage in my kitchen area. I gives a nice country look and great conversation piece. Oven door needs spring replaced to keep it closed.The gas valve and thermostat has been updated and are located on the top back of the stove for easy tempeture adjustment
