Handle incoming calls and system alerts, log and refer the calls and alerts as appropriate, and assist users either in-person, over the phone, or both.   <br>

Diagnose causes of PC, server, and printer hardware problems and failures; and repair, replace, and adjust faulty PC, server and printer hardware components.   <br>
 <br>
<br>
Perform PC, printer, and server preventive maintenance.  Install boards, peripheral devices, new PCs, servers, and printers.   <br>
 <br>
<br>
Move, reinstall and configure PCs, servers, printers and other devices while making necessary network connections.  <br>
 <br>
<br>
Work with higher-level staff on system hardware and software problems, cable plant expansions, and cable plant documentation.  <br>
 <br>
<br>
Provide technical support for stand-alone and network printers, including high capacity, high speed printers.  <br>
 <br>
<br>
As required, inventory user equipment and accessories, send and receive replacement computers and /parts, and update the database to reflect the status and resolution of user problems. <br>
 <br>
<br>
Organize, install and maintain server cabinets and network racks (this includes network cabling, power, and KVMs).  <br>
 <br>
<br>
Organize, install and maintain cabling for cable plants and data centers (this includes network cabling, power, and KVMs). <br>
 <br>
<br>
Document and label data centers, server cabinets, network racks, and cabling. <br>
 <br>
<br>
Prepare and provide directions/overviews of equipment setup procedures to other staff. <br>
 <br>
<br>
Perform basic network setup tasks that include switch installation and configuration. <br>
 <br>
<br>
Perform basic network troubleshooting tasks that include: network cable testing, cable repair, layer-2 network testing, and packet capture tools. <br>
 <br>
<br>
Prepare technical reports or documentation for basic network maintenance and improvements. <br>
Requirements <br>
Must have Sun Solaris experience <br>
<br>
At least (2) years experience in customer and user service, either in person, over the phone, or both. <br>
At least four (4) years experience with Microsoft Windows client operating systems. <br>
At least three (4) years experience with Sun Solaris operating system <br>
At least three (3) years experience with commercial office automation software. <br>
At least four (4) years experience in network operations and support. At least one (1) of these years must have been spent supporting a LAN with a minimum of 500 nodes. <br>
At least three (3) years experience in diagnosing and resolving PC, server, and printer problems. <br>
Experience with Dell workstations and laptops, HP and Compaq servers, Sun servers, and Hewlett-Packard printers. <br>
At least three (3) years experience configuring and installing network switches. <br>

THIS POSITION IS FOR 20 HOURS PER WEEK and is PART TIME. <br>

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <br>
<br>
• 3 years experience with Software and Hardware troubleshooting skills. <br>
• Basic network administration skills on Windows XP, or Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. <br>
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite and other software tools. <br>
• Maintain 50 plus Computer workstations. <br>
• Maintain servers providing Domain Name Services, Active Directory, Anti-Virus, Security Compliance, Configuration Management and Exchange <br>

• Provide maintenance or backup data on servers at their location (as directed by the Core Operations team in Fort Eustis). <br>
• Maintain inventory control and security of the classrooms and the classroom equipment (i.e. computers, servers, video tele-training equipment, etc.). <br>
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all DTF equipment, and report on the repair/service of equipment on a regular basis. <br>
• Assist Army customers with scheduling, registration for courses, and software installation within the DTF. <br>
• Coordinate daily schedules with the Distance Learning Point of Contact (DLPOC), and complete daily updates of scheduled activities in MS Outlook as classes or events are scheduled in the DTF. <br>
• Execute basic marketing tasks and activities on the Army installation or at reserve sites, and interact with Army training officers, non-commissioned officers, and administrators to coordinate new training programs. <br>
• Submit progress, metrics, and utilization reports to the DLS management team as required. <br>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<br>
<br>
The Technology and Information Systems Operations Manager (TISOM) administers and maintains information technology systems (including PC and LAN equipment) for Nature Conservancy offices. Provides IT operations functions to offices for the organization’s standard hardware, software and voice/data network solutions.  Responsible for the purchase, installation, and life-cycle maintenance of PCs, servers and LAN network connectivity equipment.  As appropriate, provides escalated on-site support of hardware, software and network connectivity issues.  Acts as the primary point of communication between TIS and operating, business and functional units. Performs local administration and operations functions as appropriate in accordance with TNC and TIS standards, policies and procedures.<br>

The position is supervised by the division Program Director of TS Operations and has no direct reports. The TISOM may coordinate and direct the activities of volunteers and staff (key users) in cross-organizational and cross-functional teams.<br>
<br>
DUTIES<br>
<br>
·         In cooperation with TIS, local operations staff and key users, provides strategic, budgeting and disaster recovery/business continuity planning to offices and staff in multiple operating, business and functional units.<br>
<br>
·         Responsible for local inventory maintenance and software license management. Monitors security compliance in accordance with TNC and TIS standards, policies and procedures. Responsible for maintenance of systems documentation such as TIS operations manuals. Serves as the technical and communications liaison to and from stakeholders and office key users for TIS communications, initiatives, needs assessments, etc.<br>

·         Responsible for procurement, installation and life-cycle maintenance of IT hardware and software (includes PCs, peripherals, servers, networking equipment, operating systems and other software<br>

·         Provides new TNC staff with PC/account setup and orientation.<br>
<br>
·         Provides escalated technical support that requires an on-site presence (server, NAS, network or PC equipment failure), including data backup recovery. Performs complex software/hardware troubleshooting, patches and re-installations in cooperation with the Enterprise Helpdesk and in accordance with established SLAs.<br>

·         Provides consulting/training/education services such as data management and staff training/orientation for standard TNC systems.<br>

·         Serves as the IT point of contact and accountable for the IT portion of new office setups, office expansions, etc. This includes relocation and/or installation of voice/data communications solutions, LAN and PC equipment.<br>

·         Responsible for local IT vendor, contract and outsourcing management.<br>

A major pharmaceutical retailer is looking for 2 technicians to travel around to various sites in the PA Surrounding areas to start training 11/1/09. <br>
Training will start 1/1/09, at the training site in Rhode Island.<br>
This will be a night time project generally starting at the 5:30 pm time. Techs will need to have an open schedule. <br>
Must have experience with doing server swaps and upgrades, A+ certification or the equivalent and experience reading scripts.<br>
Should have at least 4-6 years of experience and strong attention to detail. Must also have a car and reliable transportation. <br>
This project is for a Technician who is 100% committed to working, this is a highly sensitive project <br>
<br>
Pay Rate:$22.00 per hr/W4 <br>
Duration: till Jan 2010 - cannot guarantee a 40 hr work week this is a part time because a retail schedule will be worked out with another tech lead <br>
Hours: night time 5:30 p.m. on <br>

<description><![CDATA[Responsible for the design and development of course and support materials to be used in training of employees on customized computer applications. The course material may be developed and delivered using various modes ranging from Instructor Delivered to eLearning depending on client requirements. <br>
DUTIES:<br>
Work with subject matter experts and technical staff to identify instructional requirements from technical documentation, create effective learning strategies and develop valid course content.<br>
Design and develop Instructor and End User Training Manuals for instructor led courses.<br>
Analyze, design, and develop asynchronous eLearning curriculum modules using storyboard development.<br>
Design support graphics/animations using various software tools.<br>
Deliver training to clients in Train-the-Trainer sessions as well as End User training.<br>
Work both independently and as a team member.<br>
REQUIREMENTS:<br>
BA/BS on Instructional Technology, Training & Development, or similar areas of study and three or more years instructional design experience. Six or more years instructional design experience in lieu of degree. (preference of software curriculum design experience)<br>
Demonstrated ability with authoring /development tools, such as STT Trainer, OnDemand, Captivate, ToolBook or Flash.<br>
Demonstrated ability with graphics tools, such as Snagit, PhotoShop, Paint.<br>
Working knowledge of Microsoft software suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)<br>
Working knowledge of AICC/SCORM design standards for eLearning development.<br>
Excellent written and communication skills.<br>
Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.<br>
