This RT has always been garaged, adult-ridden, never dropped. The only cosmetic flaw is the result of a low-speed parking lot incident in New Mexico during the aforementioned September bike trip, at which time a woman in a car "scuffed" the left saddle bag as I pulled into a gas pump. The scuff mark is only noticeable if you look closely--it can be fixed by replacing the left saddlebag at a cost of $325 (new part). Other than that, this bike is flawless.
Reason for sale: I just bought a Harley touring bike and my wife says this bike has to go to make room in the garage--If I could keep both bikes, I'd keep this one. . .I've had some GREAT times on this bike and it's never left me on the side of the road.

Great Bike. Sad to see it up for sale, but money is tight. We payed 5200 for this bike in the spring. It is recently inspected, and serviced, runs great. Fast but not too fast. As you probably know the 2005 450Rs are the pros choice when it comes to MX racing. The 2005 engines are more reliable, more powerful, not to mention the better front end geometry. The problem is you can’t find new 05’s any more. All thats left are worn out beat up last years race bikes.
The pictures linked below will tell the story, this quad has never seen mud, motocross, or abuse of any kind. It was ridden for a few hours in stock form, and then completely built up as you see it today and literally ridden twice after that. All work was done by a professional mechanic. This setup was built for a kid who wanted to get into racing, but lost interest before it was finished being built.
To build this quad you would be looking at about $16,000. Then take that shiny new quad and race it for ONE weekend. At the end of that weekend, try to sell it. Odds are your quad it will be worth less than half of what you paid to for it. Not to mention all the hours of labor you have into tracking down orders, shipping, and assembly.
